| | | The article examines national security problems associated with the introduction of sanctions policies of Western countries aimed at reducing Russia’s economic potential, including the Russian Arctic zone. The sanctions policy negatively affects both the internal security issues of subsoil mining and transportation of resources in the Russian Arctic, and the security of Russia’s international partners interested in mutually beneficial economic cooperation in the Arctic zone. Countering the sanctions policy requires Russian legislation to develop comprehensive measures to support Russian and foreign companies, including in the field of protecting the security measures for subsoil mining adopted by the international community and protecting maritime transport routes in case of their violation by countries participating in the implementation of the anti-Russian sanctions policy. | | Key words: Russian Arctic, Northern Sea Route, Arctic subsoil mining, Western sanctions policy, national security | | Pages: 235 - 237 |
