China’s Digital Silk Road: New Forms of Capital Accumulation (Russia, Moscow)
The Digital Silk Road project is one of the most important elements of China’s strategic program, aimed at global leadership in the field of digital economy and a vivid example of modern forms of capital accumulation in its world-system form. The Digital Silk Road is aimed at strengthening China’s position in the global Internet governance, expanding the influence of Chinese businesses and disseminating its own technical standards. This creates the conditions for the formation of a digital space controlled by China and increases the dependence of many countries on Chinese companies and technologies.
