The article analyzes the possibilities of financing investment projects in Russia through digital financial assets (DFAs). The author describes the key features of this type of assets, which is relatively new to the Russian financial market; systematizes DFAs classification, discusses the practical experience of its application, provides statistical data on transactions with DFAs, and distinguishes the practical potential of this financial instrument as an additional bank loan. The article gives a detailed treatment to the major risks involved in using DFA and assesses directions for expanding the use of DFA in financing investments in the new investment model of the Russian economy, and discusses the role and place of DFA in the system of investment sources.
