| | | The article discusses the main targets of the Russia’s policy for the implementation of the best available technologies (BAT) and compares them with key global trends in this area. The basis of the research is monographic works, scientific articles and applied developments of Russian and foreign scientists in the field of sustainable development, climate policy and policies for the implementation of BAT, as well as norms of national and international law. The results of the work create the basis for a theoretical study of this area and can be used as an analytical basis in the process of formulating proposals in the field of decarbonization of industrial sectors. The research conducted allowed concluding that the system of targets adopted in Russia for the implementation of BAT corresponds to global trends.
