| | | This article examines the paradigmatic significance of traditional Chinese concepts of Tianxia (the idea of the Celestial Empire) and HEHE culture (Harmony and Unity) for the participation of countries of the Global South in global governance. The Tianxia concept transcends the nation-state mentality to strive for a global community, and the HEHE culture emphasizes the compatibility of diversity and cooperation in interdependence.
