Specific features of Turkey’s national security in the context of their influence on Russian-Turkish economic cooperation (Russia, Moscow)

The article is aimed at forming an understanding of the key aspects of the national security of the Turkish Republic in order to determine the reference points for the development of Russian-Turkish cooperation. The authors examine the current risks to Turkey’s national security caused by external geopolitical challenges, the international climate agenda and the development of artificial intelligence. The article argues that the system-forming element of the national security of the Republic of Turkey is strategic autonomy and the building of foreign policy and foreign economic relations based on sovereign preferences, which allows for the effective development of bilateral and multilateral partnerships that meet the national interests and strategic goals of the state.
