| | | The article focuses on the ways to increase the energy efficiency of engineering and energy infrastructure facilities of a large city against the interrelation of economy, urbanism, technology and management. Special attention is given to problems such as high depreciation of fixed assets, the legacy of centralized systems, the dominance of natural monopolies and the peculiarities of tariff regulation. The authors discuss scientific directions that evaluate the problem of energy efficiency in modern conditions; among those are: modernization of network infrastructure, a set of measures for energy management, decentralization of individual objects of the energy supply system, regulation of financial mechanisms, promotion of digitalization methods.
