Russia’s cooperation with African countries in the gas sector: expansion into regional energy markets or the fight against poverty? (Russia, St. Petersburg)

This study is aimed at identifying the feasibility of cooperation between Russia and Nigeria in the energy sector in the context of gasification of the continent. The results of the study will help determine the algorithm for transforming regional energy markets, show that distributed gasification in Nigeria can play a key role in overcoming energy “poverty” and contribute to improving the quality of life of the population. This can create an opportunity for the exchange of technologies and experience in the field of gasification, and will contribute to the further integration of energy systems within the African continent.
