Iran’s experience of using crypto assets in the context of international restrictions
(Russia, Moscow)

International payment systems do not function in Iran, and therefore crypto assets are increasingly used for cross-border payments and money transfers. Significant reserves of natural resources and the world’s largest energy subsidies have made Iran an ideal place for crypto mining, which helps Iran strengthen national financial sovereignty and turns the country into one of the world’s crypto centers.
