| | | The article focuses on the specific features related to the introduction of the latest digital technologies within the frames of the study of the place and possibilities of cryptocurrency in the modern financial system. The relevance of the research topic stems from the need to effectively respond to the challenges of the modern external and internal environment, which constantly generates various innovative products and phenomena. The timely introduction and use of the latest technologies will help the Russian economy to remain stable in the face of such modern challenges as widespread digitalization and the growing instability of global economic relations, thus increasing its competitiveness. The purpose of this study is to identify the features of the process of introducing digital technologies such as cryptocurrency and its derivatives into the modern financial system.
