| | | The article discusses the problems of borrowing and transplantation of medical metaphors and experimental methods of evidence in behavioral economics. Within the framework of this goal, the authors present a brief historical overview of the use of medical metaphors and analogies as evidence and examples of the formation of the method of analogies in evidence-based medicine. The need to use medical methods in economic research is particularly evident in the use of psychological approaches to non-standard human behavior in the contemporary interpretation of neoclassicism, supplemented by behavioral economics. The psychological interpretation of irrational consumer behavior arises from the impossibility of accurate predictions, which would not depend on the changing context of economic circumstances. Within the framework of the well-known theory of economic policy of Jan Tinbergen, one can trace a close connection between effective economic policy decisions and ongoing experiments in the framework of behavioral economics. The conclusions of the article are that psychological models and their medical interpretations and experiments in economic management cannot objectively claim the level of strict evidence of such a medical diagnosis, yet economic theory, offering solutions in the field of economic policy, should not abandon medical interpretations of experiments. | | Key words: medical metaphors and analogies, experimental methods, behavioral economics, economic psychology | | Pages: 50 - 54 |
