| The article focuses on the differences in the performance of “normal” and fast-growing firms in the economic branches that were most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors analyze data related to 13,705 Russian firms, including 392 “gazelles.” The latter are identified for the period between 2016 and 2019, and differences in the companies’ efficacy are distinguished for the period of 2020–2021.
