Neoliberalism and the models of eating behavior (Russia, Moscow)
At the end of the XX — beginning of the XXI c. physicians all around the world started paying attention at the changing nature of the most common diseases. Hunger and infectious diseases gave way to obesity and non-infectious diseases related to excessive weight and insufficiency of nutritious elements. The reason for this was mass consumption of industrially processed food stuffs, semi-finished products and fast food, produced by corporations. The topical nature of the topic stems from the need to discover its primary reasons in the economic politics. The article shows how transition to neoliberalism impacted the food market on the part of both supply and demand.
