| The article focuses on the competitive potential of rural territories that determines formation of effective management systems over their complex development, as well as their impact upon the functioning of the food market. The author analyzes rural territories (districts) of Leningrad region based on the level of their competitiveness, and distinguishes their constant distinctive features.
