Socio-economic and innovative development of the region: Target orientation of the strategic management (Russia, St. Petersburg)

The article focuses on methodological approaches to the interpretation and development of the target orientation in the medium- and long-term activity of the region, its branch and local components in the context when economic, social and innovative factors of the external and internal environment are changing. The authors discuss the possibility of reaching the target landmarks of economic and social results, efficacy of available resource use and competitive advantages in the process of strategic management over socio-economic, scholarly and innovative development of a subject of the Russian Federation.
