| The article defines factors that produce the strongest impact upon competitiveness of regional health care institutions in the new context of the pandemic and its consequences, as well as to distinguish prospective mechanisms of their evaluation and classification. The aim of qualitative analysis and data interpretation require methods such as statistical, strategic and matrix analysis; these methods help define and range factors of competitiveness of the regional health care organizations and distinguish the most significant ones during the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences. These factors allow to develop an effective strategy of the regional medical cluster development and form conditions for the effective economic development of the region as a whole. Research conducted allowed distinguishing the most seminal factors of the region’s competitiveness and correct the strategy of its medical cluster development. Results gained during the research allowed testing new mechanisms of evaluation with regard to competitiveness of the regional health care institutions in the context of the pandemic and investigating the impact of the most significant factors of competitiveness upon the regional and global competitiveness of the region in the context of COVID-19. | Key words: health care institutions, competitiveness of institutions, pandemic, medical services, regional system of health care, St. Petersburg, Leningrad region | Pages: 140 - 144 |
