| | The article analyses categories of property and appropriation from the point of view of the synthesis of neo-institutional and Marxist approaches, which make it possible to single out the main types of appropriation based on the principle of the change of property rights. The author puts forward a hypothesis about the development of society as a process of increase of the share of constructive appropriation and decrease on the destructive one, with the possibilities of deviation towards the latter as it happened in post-Soviet Russia.
